Honey Bees and Sunflowers beneath beautiful blue sky. Sunflowers in the home garden and photos of busy honey bees with pollen foraging wildly.
Honey Bees and Sunflowers
Bees with pollen on their legs, a few came to the sunflowers in our garden, in search for food
like nectar or pollen.
These flowers are in Vilcabamba, Loja, Ecuador .
The sunflowers grew to about 3 meters tall. It was so interesting to watch them fly in and out of
the flowers looking to each one for food.
Sun Flowers in the sun, a picture of a bee wings on the flower. they come early in the morning
and go back to the hives for midday.
Seems like they are very clever as its siesta time, then in the evening they are back.
Bees predators
Bees also have predators, for instance there is the bee catcher birds.
Some are black and wait in the trees for them when they come and seek food in the blossoms
and then they eat them.
Honey Bee is flying high caught in sunlight.
Another picture capturing a honey bee at work on the sunflowers, sun light catching its wings.
Honey Bee flying to the sunflower, it landed safe and obtained food.
Seems the spiders were also out to catch them, as they had spun their webs on the leaves
and flowers. so sad.
Close up of the bee on the sunflower, amazing site to see these bees.
We don’t get stung as they are not protecting honey nor are we bothering them.
Amazing sunflowers up close. I love nature and doing photography.
NB:
Remember without bees humans would not have food and we would die within 4 years, as they
are the best pollinators on earth.
