A Bees Life on Flowers
This is the South African Honey Bee. Beautiful pink blossoms.
The honey bee will turn and seek and search all ways to obtain the nectar or pollen from the flower.
This stunning flower with its lacy features in white. Honey Bee landed there as it was attractive. 🙂
Some very scarcely flowering lavender flowers now get the attention of the bee. Note its legs
clinging on the small flower.
The lavender is a popular flower for the honey bee or any bee for that matter.
These lavenders have only got small flowers on and the honey bee still comes and looks for food.
At the top of the plant the bee found a bigger flower. Not much pollen from these lavender
flowers but maybe it obtained some nectar.
Just some interesting pictures of the way a bee searches on the flowers and blossoms for food.
When you smell that sweet smell in the air, its from the nectar flow of the flowers and the bees
are attracted to them and feed well on nectar.
Otherwise its pollen they collect as well. Pollen is such an important food source for the bee species.
Provides food for the young.
Yellow pollen sticks to pollen baskets on their hairy legs. Flying back to the bee hive to return
food for storage or feed the young.
